By Train | Amtrak

UPDATE AS OF 10/12/2013: Amtrak trackwork that had been scheduled for the route between Chicago and Springfield on october 22 has been changed. Amtrak is "good to go" for your travel to the March on Springfield. Lincoln Service can take you to Springfield from Chicago, Summit, Joliet, Dwight, Pontiac, Bloomington, Lincoln, Carlinville, Alton and St. Louis. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $42 or less.

The March on Springfield will take place mid-day, allowing anyone in Illinois to drive in that morning and return that night. We've identified two nearby hotels for those who chose to come the day before or stay over night.
